Privacy policy

Effective July 19, 2026 · Updated October 27, 2026

This policy explains what information Trellis Enterprises, LLC (“Trellis”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

Information we collect

From shops that use the service: account details such as your name, email address, phone number, and business information, plus the data your shop creates while using the service, such as products, orders, and settings.

From shoppers and recipients: when a shop uses Trellis to run its business, order information such as names, delivery addresses, phone numbers, and card messages passes through the service. That information belongs to the shop, and we process it on the shop’s behalf to make deliveries, receipts, and messages work.

From visitors to this website: as little as possible. This site has no advertising trackers and no analytics scripts. If you email us, we receive what you send.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the service, to keep it secure, to support you, and to send messages the service requires, such as an order confirmation or a delivery notification. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your shop’s customer list for our own marketing.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers needed to run Trellis, such as payment processing, message delivery, printing, and hosting. Each provider receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers. Mobile numbers and text message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and are not stored on Trellis systems.

QuickBooks

A shop can choose to connect its own QuickBooks Online company to Trellis. When it does, Trellis writes that shop’s own paid orders into that shop’s own QuickBooks as customers, invoices and payments, and reads back only what it needs to do that (such as whether a customer or invoice already exists). Trellis does not read or use anyone else’s QuickBooks data, and does not share it with anyone. The shop can disconnect at any time from Settings → QuickBooks. When it does, Trellis deletes the stored connection, and it will delete the rest of that shop’s QuickBooks records on request at info@trellisenterprises.com.

Canva. A shop can choose to connect its own Canva account to Trellis. When it does, Trellis reads that account’s list of designs and its display name, and saves only the design page the shop chooses as a proposal’s cover. The shop can disconnect at any time from Settings → Canva. When it does, Trellis hands the access back to Canva and deletes the stored connection. Covers already added to proposals stay with those proposals.

Security

We take security seriously and design the service so that each shop’s data is isolated from every other shop’s. Access to systems is limited, monitored, and logged. No system can promise perfect security, so we also design so that any single failure exposes as little as possible.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep data for as long as the shop uses the service. When a shop leaves, its studio stays open for 90 days after the end date so the orders already in it can be finished. No new orders come in, and existing orders cannot be changed. The owner can download the shop's data at any time in those 90 days, and within the first thirty days can ask us to run the export for them. At 90 days the shop's data is deleted. Apart from backups, we keep only billing records, the record of the deletion, and the record of the payment connection. Backup copies are kept for up to six months and then deleted, so anything removed from the service is gone from our backups within six months as well. If you are a shopper and want your information corrected or removed, contact the shop you bought from, and we will help them honor the request.

Children

The service is for businesses and is not directed at children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. For meaningful changes we will tell shops directly.
